LOS ANGELES, CA, APRIL 04, 2013 — An elite group of cyclists – competing as MRI Endurance powered by Monster Media Racing – is one of the top professional teams participating in the invitation only 29th Redlands Bicycle Classic, with the first stage Time Trial beginning Thursday, April 4th, in Big Bear ending with a Road Race on April 7th. The event is considered one of the premier Cycling events for professional, amateur and disabled athletes in the US and it kicks off the 2013 USA Cycling National Racing Calendar.

MRI and PROLAB, both part of Natrol’s Family of Brands, were recently major title sponsors of the 2013 Arnold Sports Festival, the largest multi-sport event in the country. MRI’s latest endurance products E02 Edge and E02 VMAX were popular highlights at the Festival, and the MRI Cycling Team attributes these key products to helping them achieve their peak performance during races. Recently, the team has been on a high winning streak, with consistent victories at events including the Red Trolley Criterium, Ontario Grand Prix Race, Rosena Ranch Race, Merco Credit Union Cycling Classic, Surf City Cyclery Criterium, Ontario Criterium, San Dimas Stage Race, and more.

MRI will be sending an 8-person team made up of United States and Mexican road and track national champions and a Pan American Road Race Champion. Chris DeMarchi and Philip Tinstman, both members of the MRI Endurance Elite Masters Team, are leading the young squad of Under 23 (U23) cyclists. This will be DeMarchi’s fourth time racing the Redlands Bicycle Classic.

The other team members are: Jose Aguirre U23; Orlando Garibay U23; Samuel Grove U23; Diego Sandoval U23; Dion Smith U23; and Cory Williams U23.

“We have an excellent group of men on this team,” said DeMarchi, who has been a professional cyclist for 23 years. “We’ve trained hard for this prestigious event, and now we’re looking forward to racing and setting the tone for our future competitions together. MRI Endurance, Masi, Mercury Wheels, JLvelo, Cannondale and our other sponsors have been incredibly supportive of the team and are such a large part our success.”

MRI Endurance powered by Monster Media Racing is one of many top men’s pro teams expected to take over the Classic’s series of rigorous courses set in Big Bear, Beaumont and Redlands. The classic concludes Sunday, April 7.
